The Laboratory of Regenerative and Muscle Biology in the Department of Health Sciences and Technology at ETH Zurich is searching for a part-time animal transgenic specialist. The primary scientific interest and focus of the lab is to study the regenerative potential of stem cells, with an emphasis on pluripotent and skeletal muscle stem cells, using state-of-the-art transgenic models. The lab is seeking a highly motivated, responsible, and organized transgenic specialist to help oversee the generation of rodent transgenic animal models using CRISPR or pluripotent stem cell injections.
Project backgroundThe Laboratory of Regenerative and Muscle Biology, headed by Prof. Ori Bar-Nur, is a multidisciplinary and collaborative group of scientists focused on translating basic research findings into therapeutically applicable treatments. The lab operates at the intersection of molecular and cellular biology, gene- and cell-based therapies, and tissue engineering. It extensively employs transgenesis in projects involving these research areas to advance our understanding of biological processes and to develop potential new therapies for treating muscle diseases.
